Description

This Cottage is clean and spacious 75m2 and perfectly situated, only 65 KM from Reykjavík. Surrounded by all the main tourist attractions in the South, such as Thingvellir, Gullfoss, and Geysir - which are all within an hour drive away, To Seljalandsfoss, is about 1- hour drive and 1 hour and 10min.to the ferry to Vestmmannaeyjar. Only fifteen minutes drive is to Selfoss where you will find Supermarkets and all basic services. Hotel Grimsborgir is 1.5 KM away and there you will find both a bar and a Restaurant. Þrastarlundur, shop and a restaurant is also just 6 KM away.
The cottage has two bedrooms, one with a double bed and another one with two single beds all with duvets and linen. The living room has a double sleeping couch with duvet and linen for one person. A hot tub is on a porch beside the house.
The Kitchen includes all necessary cooking equipment with plates and cutleries. The bathroom is with shower, towels and bath tissue included.
The living room has a TV and a beautiful view of the countryside. The Cottage has a spacious porch with some chairs and a table. Minimum stay is three nights Animals are not allowed inside. Smoking is prohibited inside the house. About one week before inscription in the cottage you will receive an e-mail with a detailed map with all the information needed on how to get there.

The location of the house is perfect to visit all the natural highlights of the golden circle. The house is perfectly equipped - all kind of spices and kitchen gear. If you would live permanetly there, you would not miss anything. The furniture of the house creates a warm and comfortable atmosphere. The hosts Gunnar and Oddný are very friendly and extremely helpful. We enjoyed our stay a lot. Thank you very much! Family from Munich in September 2022.

It was a lovley house in great location for touring the South area. I cooked most nights and the kitchen resources was like home away from home. The hot tub is a lovley feature.

Wonderful, very comfortable house, much space, superb view, ideal location for visiting the Golden Circle. Especially enjoyed the birds around the house (godwits, redshanks, snipes etc.)

Lovely lodge in a great location. Reasonably remote but easy to find and convenient for the town of Selfoss and for the Golden Circle. Warm and cosy with everything we needed even down to an HDMI cable to connect to the TV and a WiFi speaker! We would absolutely return. Nothing negative to say at all; not one thing.

We stayed at this cabin for just under a week in August 2021. It is a truly cosy place, the kitchen is very well equipped and even had basics like salt, pepper, oil and many many more which is nice if you do not have to buy these things for just a 5 day stay. This is truly thoughtful.
The hot-tub is amazing and we used it multiple times every day :)
Check-in and check-out was very easy and straight forward. The location is very convenient and makes it possible to reach all the main sites on the golden circle in no time.
I can only recommend this place and would stay here again in an instant!

My Wife and I spent a wonderful week in this wonderful cottage. The area is perfect for looking to the northern lights and you can reach all the "must have-place" in southern Iceland. The cottage is in a real excellent shape. Whatever you need for feeling at home and having a nice vacation - the cottage has it.
The host is very friendly and looking that everything works fine.
So - everything has been great!

Very neat house with complete inventory. All you need for a luxury stay is in place. Very bright and shining atmosphere thanks to the many windows. Grill, hot tub, lots of space, just excellent.
