The idea was born the summer of 2009 when Haukur (Bungalo's founder) decided to rent himself a cottage but quickly realized that it was easier said then done. After having spent a whole day surfing the internet, looking through ads and calling friends and family, he realized there was no easy way to find and book a cottage in Iceland. Instead of complaining about the situation he sat down and started sketching out what would later become the Bungalo website.The website was officially launched on 10. march 2010 and ever since then Bungalo has developed it's website in cooperation with it's users. Every comment, suggestion or idea that comes from our users has been used to improve the system and improve the experience for the end-user.
