Þetta hlýlega og nýja hús er staðsett á milli Vík og Kirkjubæjarklausturs nánar tiltekið í Skaftártungu
Það er við bæinn Snæbýli 1 sem er síðasti sveitabærinn áður en er farið upp fjallabaksleið syðri ( F210 )
en þar má finna miklar náttúruperlur hvort sem er farið á bíl eða bara í góðan göngutúr
eins erum við örstutt frá (F 208 ) sem liggur inn í Landmannalaugar og á fleiri fallega staði
Húsið er 15 km frá þjóðvegi 1
Húsið er 28fm og skiptist í baðherbergi og opið rými sem hefur 1 tvíbreitt rúm,tvíbreiðan ,sófa og gott eldhúsrými fyrir 2 manneskjur
Virkilega rólegt og notalegt umhverfi ásamt fallegri fjallasýn þar sem er góður möguleiki á haustin og veturnar að sjá norðurljós.
Þetta er frábær staður til að ferðast útfrá.

A wonderful place in a fabulous landscape?

I spent a night in the cottage with my three children and it was a special experience - in the middle of nature, surrounded by curious sheep. The cottage is very well equipped. As I am not a big driver, gravel roads are always a bit of a challenge but it was worth the effort.

Le Snæbýli cottage est vraiment un petit coin de paradis, au calme et au milieu de la campagne islandaise. L'intérieur est très soigné, très bien équipé, les grandes fenêtres offrent une vue panoramique splendide ! Nous avons adoré !!!

We really loved staying at this cozy cottage! It was very clean and matched how amazing the pictures looked online. Also, the host was very responsive and helpful. There was a bit of a gravel road to get there, but with the good views it was worth the drive! Don?t forget to say hi to the Icelandic horses on the way:) Highly recommend.

The cottage takes about 10 to 15 min to get to from the main road, and the road to get there is amazing in itself. The views when arriving to the cottage are breathtaking. We went on spring and the mix of green and snow on the mountains was perfect. The cottage itself was really cozy and cool. Very clean. Great bed, confortable sofa, nice bathroom and spacey kitchen with microwave (not so common). The heat worked perfectly, although to be totally honest the main door did let a bit of air through on a very windy night. We stayed two nights and enjoyed every bit of it :)

This was our second stay at the cottage. We enjoyed it last year so much that we decided to come again. And we didn't regret it the view is still impressive and the hospitality as well. Last year we got tips about a trip to landmannalaugar and this year they helped us to change and even fix a flat tire.
We definitely will come back.

Cottage 3 is simply amazing. Warm, comfortable, full equiped and marvellous views. Slightly far from?conventional route? but worth it.

Beautiful, secluded cottage. Nice contact with the landlord. We were upgraded to a larger cottage. Key transfer worked without any problems. Everything was there what you need for cooking. Cozy bedrooms. Nice living room with a great dining area. A great view. We had a nice night here. It was hard to go again. Next time we will definitely come back and stay a little longer. Thank you for letting us live here.

Das Haus ist wunderschön, eine wundervolle Aussicht aus den großen Fenstern. Alles Nötige ist vorhanden, modern und praktisch eingerichtet. Wir bekamen ein kostenloses Upgrade auf das größere Haus. Dadurch konnten wir eine Waschmaschine nutzen, was uns bei unserer langen Reise sehr gelegen kam. Dafür vielen Dank.

We had the chance to spend one night in the Snaebyli Cottage 2 instead of Cottage 1. It was just perfect ! Very nice, cosy, clean and very well equiped. The place and the view are amazing !!

A very nice mordern cottage in the middle of a magnificient landscape.
The whole family enjoyed it. The owners are very kind and helpful. They helped us with our questions for trips to Landmannalauger.
We will definitely come again.

The place is absolutely amazing, breathtaking views, lots of open space that helps to simply relax, a well equipped and beautiful cabin and very nice and kind owners! It couldn't have been better, would go back immediately!

Nice, quiet location. A few minutes from the ring road. Has everything you need. Very helpful hosts. We would choose the cottage again.

We were here for 1 night (4 people) and it was good. The house is small but Suitable for short stays, very clean and cosy.
If you get there by night you might feel lost, but if you follow the owners instructions, you will get there easily. The house is very well equipped and prepared for you to cook your meals. At day light, we could see the outside area, amazing!!!

It´s a cottage in the middle of nowhere next to a farm. It has a small kitchenette and big windows to look over the landscape (although it was all fog when we were there). The whole cottage incl. the inventory looks and feels really new and comfortable.

Good cottage in a very beautiful scenery. The only one problem is the smoking detector alarm located just above the kitchen (so when you cook something the alarm start)

As other travelers have noted, the gravel road in is long. But the area is beautiful, the cottage small and supremely comfortable. The restroom was great. We had two kids and two adults and fit fine since we were active outdoors most of the day. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed our overnight stay in this lovely cottage with fantastic views. The gravel road was about 15km as mentioned in the listing but was easy to find.
The cottage was clean and well equipped and communication was excellent.
We would definitely stay again if we return to Iceland.

the reservation was simple and the exchanges with the perfect owners!
the place was well explisue and the cabin is very beautiful, brand new with all the comfort possible! the view is beautiful on the nature, quiet, without city light .... conducive to aurora borealis: there were beautiful during our stay, the owners were kind and delicacy to report it in real time by mail ... but we slept and read it at breakfast ... shame but thank you to the owners!

It is a nice and cosy cottage. There ist everything you need and very new.
It was also dark enough at fullmood to see the northern lights!
It was just an amazing stay!

The road to get to the house is very good. It has no loss and is quite easy.
The situation of the house is perfect. It allows to see some fantastic landscapes.
The house has everything you need. As the description says, you only have one stay, but it is not a problem for 4 people to live together peacefully.
I think I recommend people to come to Iceland.

We stayed for 8 nights and loved the Cottage. It is perfect for 2 people, very quiet, cozy and pieceful place. We had a wonderful time off the tourist-tracks, as the cottage has beautiful surroundings easily accessible by feet or car (if you have 4x4). Siggi was a great host, very helpful and friendly - thank you so much again!

The cottage is very clean and cozy. We love the open view and quietness. Its small but worked fine for one night stay. The host was very helpful and provided many nearby attractions information.

Very cozy and warm house with great view from the windows. We stayed here for 2 days and everything was just fine. Easy to reach Laki and some other beautiful places are nearby.

We stayed in the bungalow for six nights, the four of us. We had really excellent weather all week, so we could use the terrace every morning and evening and enjoyed the views, thus expanding our living space considerably. If we wouldn't have been able to do so because of bad weather conditions then the bungalow is simply too small for four people. The road only accesible on foot going up hill behind
the bungalow gives access to a very beautiful landscape with stunning views over the glacier.

We really appreciate the considerate host and his/her lovely cottage.
The view outside of cottage is really fantastic, and there are enough utilities provided, includes toaster, hair drier, and cute cups/plates.
However, there are some suggestions from us: First, there are bugs in the mountains, so we avoided to open the windows in the night. However, the room becomes very hot and stuffy when we closed the windows.
Second, there is no shelf in the bathroom, which is not convenient to customers when taking shower.
Third, it would be a little difficult to find the exact location of the cottage. You need some patience to get there.
Overall, it is still a very good place to stay at. I highly recommend you to stay here!

Wow, Snaebyli?s place is remoted but don?t let that stop you! This place is beautiful and quiet, if you are looking for some alone time or just some time away from the city, this is your place! Highly recommended!

This is really a marvellous house. It is small, but complete. It stands in a big surrounding world of nature, no other houses nearby. We loved that very much. The first morning we were surprises by snow: we lived in a white world, that made it even more special.

We spend one night in Snæbyli Cottage with my family, and it was a dream!
The cottage is in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by mountains. The numerous windows offer an incredible view. Make sure you stay long enough to enjoy this wonder.

Scenic drive into Snaebyli with a cosy and comfortable cottage. Perfectly sitted in between the snowy hills and a fabulous location for Aurora watching should weather permits. Our best stay in Iceland??

Such a cute house in middle of beautiful Icelandic nature :) Me and other 3girls loved staying this newly built house which is clean, simple, but really organized and stylish. Just one wish to make, it would be so perfect with a Jacuzzi outside!

A very cozy, modern and clean accomodation in the center of a beautiful landscape with a beautiful sunset. We stayed here in march 2018. It is a little bit tricky to get there, but Sigi send us perfect directions. I can definitely recommend this accomodation.

This place is extraordinary. Might be the most beautiful spot on this planet. The little house is cozy, and one can watch aurora in warmth out of the window.
The owner and the family are very good and warm-hearted people, and made our stay very pleasurable and safe.
One of a kind experience, and I will always remember and miss the days spent there.

Nice and cosy cottage that offers a great view and excellent privacy. Might be a bit tight for more than three people especially for longer period. Excellent choice if one can do without wifi, oven or microwave.

Clean, comfortable, and modern cabin nestled into a beautiful backdrop. We arrived at night and found the cabin fairly easily. The cabin was beyond our expectations and were incredibly surprised when we woke up and discovered our surroundings. It was quiet and off the tourist track while still being accessible. Would stay again!
