Description

A new property (2021) is available for rent in a peaceful environment just about 30 km from Reykjavik. It is located about 1,5 km to the left of Þrengslin road when going towards Þorlákshöfn. The apartment is located on the second floor and has two bedrooms, one living room with sofa, tv and kitchen and two bathrooms, bathtub upstairs and shared shower is downstairs.

No smoking in the house!

Available: Washing machine i garage

This place is a perfect base to explore South Iceland.

Things to do nearby:
Þorlákshöfn town 10 min away. There is a grocery store Krónan, a good swimming pool with inside children pool, a scenic black sand beach.
Hveragerði town 10 min away. Bónus grocery store, swimming pool and greenhouses. A few places to eat out. Above Hveragerði there is a great area for hiking and hot river 1 hour walk.
Further away by the coast the towns Eyrarbakki and Stokkseyri are located with scenic shore and nice restaurants. Rich birdlife in the area.
The cave Raufarhólshellir is just 5 min away, one of the longest cave in the country.
Most of south central Iceland is within 2 hours drive.
Great place to see the northern lights in the wintertime.

We had a really nice stay at Stóragerdi, Kirsten was a responsive & flexible host. We also really enjoyed the jacuzzi that is outside.

I recommend using the coordinates rather than the address when searching for the location with google maps.

Nice bungalow in the middle of nowhere. Proper and clean. Nice jacuzzi outside. Host is very friendly

New and clean room. Well equiped. Hottub was there but we not used it because of horrible weather.

We had a great time. The house is nice and very clean. Hot tub with a view. It is close to the hot river Reykjadalur. Groceries and gas both nearby. Kirsten is very friendly and helpful. She turned out to be a college.
