beautiful and cozy cabin for a weekend getaway. The sauna is perfectly hot. we love it. will come back again in future.

Great place in a really beautiful surrounding.
Lovely designed and detailed interior and everything very clean.
Perfect for relaxing and enjoying the nature (and of course the Sauna :))
The hosts have been really friendly and helpful with all our questions in a superfast response time.

Þetta er í annað skiptið sem við gistum í Múlakoti og dvölin var engu síðri en sú fyrri. Kósí og fallegur staður og frábært að hafa gufu og kamínu. Jón og félagar voru mjög liðlegir og svöruðu fljótt og vel. Takk kærlega fyrir okkur!

Absolutely beautiful cabin around 2 hours from Reykjavík. Everything you need is there and very nice and high class equipment and furniture.
The hosts are very friendly and keeping the guests informed. Highly recommended.

We were really looking forward to this get away and it delivered a peaceful stay with good proximity to most major sites in the West of Iceland (we focused on this area exclusively during our 6 day stay). The site is private (saw the neighbors drive by once during our stay) and the cabin/house has a good sized living area for relaxing. We did stream 1 show via the WiFi during our stay and had no problems despite the size/speed required by the show - the WiFi worked great despite what was said in the ad downplaying it. Previous tenants had left many non-perishable staples ie Olive oil, salt, pepper, balsamic vinegar, and other seasonings. We purchased several of the items in Borgarnes before we arrived ... that, in retrospect, was unnecessary given what was already there when we opened the cabin. The views are spectacular and had several rainbows across the flatland the night we arrived. Definitely a do again.

The cottage is really nice and cozy made all by wood which creates an amazing atmosphere with a big windows allowing you to see the nice landscape. The only thing is that the fireplace was out of order and was one of the reasons to take the cottage as it was winter and we love atmosphere fire generates. The shared area is very comfortable and very well equipped. The beds were not super confortable but were ok. The bathroom was also fine but pressure of the water was not very powerful which I may understand considering we are in the middle of nowhere. Sauna is adding this extra points to the house!
