Perfectly located next to the wonderful & famous lake - Thingvallavatn, a 10 minute drive to the national park of Thingvellir, the Luxury Cabin divides into a main house and separate guest house. Outdoor shower, sauna, open space kitchen/living room.

The cabin is a state of the art modernesque cabin located at the best possible location for a traveler visiting Iceland. It takes about 30 minutes to drive there from the heart of Reykjavik - but once you're there you're in the middle of a nature paradise.

The cabin is divided into a main building with an open space kitchen / living room - most of the walls there are glass letting in a great deal of light.

Living room: A large TV, a large dining table, a number of couches and very comfortable sitting area.
From the Living room you can walk to the closed off patio, a cozy wooden area that can be opened for the evening summer breeze.

Kitchen: Has an oven, stove, refrigerator and freezer, a wine cooler, microwave, water kettle and coffee maker as well as all other necessary utilities to cook almost anything you want.

On each side of the kitchen space there are three bedrooms. The Master bedroom has a king size bed, the mattress is a certified quality mattress, and the room has ample closet space, a great view of the lake and large windows.

The kids room has is colorful and bright, has a TV with a number of cartoons on a portable hard drive, a bit of toys and a small clothing cabinet, and a 2 person cot bed. The cot-bed has the lower half a normal size bed and the upper half slightly smaller cot sized bed.

The third bedroom is simple, minimalistically decorated, bright and has a 2 person cot bed.

The bathroom in the Main house has a very nice natural stone shower, the cold water comes directly from the deepest part of the lake and it is among the cleanest and clearest waters in the world. The hot water comes from natural reservoirs underground.

The guest house has its own bedroom and bathroom, the bed is queen size, a high quality mattress and it has its own TV.

A separate part of the guest house contains a traditional Finnish sauna, complete with wooden surfaces, benches and hot stones. Next to the sauna there is a washing machine and dryer, as well as a heater for wet outdoor clothes and a space to iron clothes if need be.

A guest cell phone is made available to guests and they can contact me at any point if need be. I will be available for any questions regarding the house and cabin or directions, or just general advice and pointers about the country.

I require all guests to meet up with me before going to the cabin. You will be driving past Reykjavik on your way to the cabin from the airport so we ask that you stop by in the city for keys and the guest phone, as well as directions to the cabin and all other necessary information.

There is absolutely no partying in the cabin. Guests are expected to be respectful of the property, at all costs avoid littering in the surrounding area, and anything that might get broken will be charged in full.

NOTE: I highly recommend buying groceries before leaving Reykjavik to bring to the cabin - there are no grocery shops close to the cabin unless you feel like driving back to town.

The cabin is located on the golden circle - the surroundings are amongst the most amazing natural pearls that Iceland has to offer, as well as as a number of our most important historical sites are located very close by.
Thingvellir national park, with its historical significance is only a ten minute drive away. A bit further you will find Geysir and Gullfoss, two natural pearls which are a must see for every traveler in Iceland.
The lake itself is among the clearest in the world and a perfect location for diver enthusiasts and a very popular choice.

I personaly love the view and the general areas around the lake the most, and in the summer time the sky and natural beauty becomes spectacular.

You need to rent a car to reach the cabin and to be able to move freely.

A reservation can be cancelled 30 days or more prior to the scheduled arrival date and 80% of the rental price will be repaid.
