Esjan offers unique guest accommodation in refurbished busses, located in Kjalarnes, 21 km from Reykjavík. Free private parking is available on site.

Each room has a seating area and kitchenette for your convenience. Guests can admire mountain and sea views from the large bus windows. The shared bathroom facilities are located in a service building between the buses.

You can engage in various local activities, such as horse riding and hiking as well as swimming in the local pool just minutes away. The port town of Akranes is 21 km from Esjan, while Keflavik International Airport is 71 km away.

Super coole Übernachtungsmöglichkeit. Etwas klein, wie erwartet, aber für einen kurzen Aufenthalt unbedingt ausprobieren. Wir waren zu viert für 2 Nächte, und haben die Koffer im Auto gelassen und nur eine Tasche für die paar Tage gepackt. Betten und Sitze sind sehr gemütlich, WC- und Duschräume sauber, warm, groß und sehr ansprechend gestaltet. Dazu dann noch der fantastische Ausblick... :-D
Unbedingt ausprobieren!!!

Definitely the best place to stay in Iceland. The host were the best (and really enthusiastic) and the bus was cozy and full of details. We were stuck during a blizzard, but the host offered a free night, sauna and food for that day. Even in the worst case, she offered to get us a jeep taxi to the airport and she would bring our rental car back to the airport. However, this was not needed in the end but we enjoyed our stay. Thank you very much for this experience!

Our stay here was magical! We were literally living our tiny house dream ! You basically get everything; your own part of the bus, a fully equipped kitchen, shared bathroom, and an AMAZING view ! There is also a table and grill in the middle of the grounds, there are gardens, bonfire circles, trampoline, everything ! You can go up the mountain and enjoy the fantastic facing the sea, or the mountains ! The pool is a few minutes away, and there is a convenience store in the same area as well. Not far from Reykjavík, and not from the next town like Akranes. A great place to unwind, relax, realign, and reground. So excited to be back during winter time?

In sehr schöner Umgebung.
Wc und Bad waren sauber.
Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

What a magical place to stay. We really enjoyed it here and it was a great place for our trip. The hostess was incredibly sweet and welcomed us well. I will definitely recommend this as a place to stay during your trip in Iceland.

We had an amazing time at the esjan bus. Lisa was very friendly and welcoming. The weather was awful on our first night but we were so warm and cosy in the bus. Even the toilets/shower unit was warm. What a unique and lovely stay we had!

Excellent eco minded bus accomodation. Great views at the base of Esjan mountain. Close to Reykjavik. Very welcoming and friendly owner. Very comfy beds and great facilities. Owners dog photo bombed every shot!
Great last night in Iceland. Can highly recommend .

Esjan was truly amazing! The bus was so unique and had everything you could ask for. I am so happy we will be staying here one more night on our trip!
