The host is a very, very kind man, helpful and excellent in communication. Due to the circumstances ( bad weather) we couldn't reach the cottage but the owner was the most understanding in further communication.

Beautiful location overlooking the sea, the cottage is very well equipped and the hosts are incredibly helpful. We arrived in the blizzard with winds blowing and couldn't get the key from the safe! The owner came and guided us to the correct cottage.{Apparently we were trying to open the wrong key safe)): } The next morning the weather turned worse, they guided us later in the day to head south when the weather provided a window of opportunity to do so. They ensured we were safe later that evening. This is true Icelandic hospitality and willingness to make our stay memorable.

This time Loftur offered us to stay in the farm house instead of the cottage and it was again a great stay! The house is big and comfortable with a wonderfull view over the fjord and the Grimsey island. Loftur's sister offered us plenty of delicious food: fish, chocolate, cheese.... Both are really wonderfull hosts and we warmly recommand their cottage (in wich we have stayed many times before) and the farm house. The strandir coast is a real jewel...For sure we will come back again and again !

We had wonderfull days in Drangsnes, the views from all rooms in the house are amazing. It was warm and cosy and we had all we needed.

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans le chalet situé dans un cadre exceptionnel de tranquillité face à l'ile de Grimsey. Le chalet était très bien équipé pour une famille de 5 personnes. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié la gentillesse de Loftur qui nous a conseillé sur les visites à faire autour de Drangnes et de sa soeur qui nous a accueilli et qui s'est rendu disponible lorsque nous avons eu besoin de la solliciter.

Despite a very windy and rainy weather we had a lovely Time in this cosy and well equiped cottage. The view was awsome !

Staying as a family of 6 persons in Juli 2019 for 6 nights: Outstanding cabin mit fantastic view over the nice island of Grimsey. Calm and peaceful place, almost no traffic on the road before the house. So you hear the birds singing, you can observe whales down at Steingrimsfjördur huntig and jumping directly from the house! This is brilliant: eating breakfast and watching whales down at the fjord.
In Drangsnes, there are three public hot pools directly at the sea (a cool one, a warm and a hot one). You can pick berries around the house, there is a nice walking path just directly from th meadow around.
We would definetly stay again.
The house is well equipped with family games and toys, some books.
The kitchen has everything you need, even an iron for wafles!

Great cottage with fabulous views! The fjord and island of Grimsey is directly in front and there are mountains to the side and back. The views are stunning. The cottage is in a perfect location for exploring the area and the Strandir Coast. It's a wonderful place to come back to at the end of the day to relax in quiet solitude gazing at the beauty all around. If the weather is not favorable, the views can be enjoyed from the large windows. Great hiking is accessible directly behind the cottage and even just walking down the peaceful road is a pleasure. Excellent communication with the host, very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!

Very comfortable cabin with lots of room and well equipped, this location is quite isolated but there are other homes near by and a small village down the road but for us it was a great location for driving the Strandir. Lots of birds nest in the area nearby and the cabin has a nice view of the water. The coffee pot was a pain in the butt but we ended up figuring it out. We did enjoy our stay.

We had a great stay in this cottage, and its really nice and had everything we needed :) The area is really beautiful and this cottage is a great way to discover the westfjords. We definitly want to come back in summertime :)

My wife and I were so pleased with the cottage and hope to return someday. It was warm, clean, comfortable, and very quiet with easy access to beautiful nature, as well as the local hotpots. While we were a couple, it could easily host a small family or a group of travelers (and has some small toys for little ones as well). We shopped for groceries mostly in Hólmavík but there may be closer options. The host is great to and very responsive. Highly recommended!

It's our third stay here and it is always a delighfull stay!
The cabin is cute with a wonderfull view and the strandir coast one of the most beautifull of Iceland.

Very basic and rustic cottage, clean, quiet, gorgeous view of Grimsey across the fjord. Very close to hot pots in town where there were two pods of whales and a lone seal. Great communication with our host. Many thanks!

The cottage was amazing ! It has the best view you could hope for while traveling around Drangsnes. It is also clean and well equiped. They also own many games and there is of course pools around the town. Thank you for this nice stay!

Really nice and comfortable lodging with an awesome view. Perfect space for family or groups of friends. The beds and sheets are very soft and comfortable too. I slept really well when I was there. The rooms are a little small and we had to store our luggages in the living area. Other than that, it was an awesome stay.

Nice, clean cottage with lovely views. Kitchen was well equipped, only the microwave was put on top of the fridge and one would need a ladder to be able to reach it. No internet and no TV, but that is ok, as you are here to enjoy the surroundings and not to sit in front of the tele. On cold winterdays, I can imagine that the electrical heaters would not suffice to keep the cabin warm.
Would definitely book here again.

Amazing property in an area that is very relaxing. If you are looking to get out of the city this could be your place. Pristine views and comfort awaits at Baer III. Plan to fix your food and enjoy the well-appointed kitchen.
