Nice and cozy place, just right for an overnight stay. A bit hard to get fresh air inside as the windows are quite small. Beautiful garden in front of the house and lots of trees around (which is quite uncommon for Iceland). The landlord does not speak English but communication was no problem as her granddaughter answered all our questions through e-mail.

Very homely apartment, well equipped with everything for a short or long stay.
Beds were comfortable, shower was excellent and the kitchen had everything you might need. We only stayed one night but had a very relaxing time.

Very quiet house close to Lagarfljót, with a well equipped kitchen.
Nice and comfortable for our family with two kids.

Very nice spot in the forest. Fairly priced compared to the surrounding options. The host was nice and took my sleeping bag and clothes off the line when it started raining. One star off for a bit of a funky smell in the bathroom, not a deal breaker though.

That's a sooo cute place! Really nice for staying and relaxing. Beautiful sense near the forest.
I lost my laptop there, and thanks for the host?s kindly reminding and help my to send it to airport!!! They are so nice!

We had a nice stay in the beautiful forest, the home owners were very nice and everything about them great. But I was a little disapointed when we arrived the information about the house were not as said in discription.

Once we finally connected with the correct coordinates, we were VERY pleased with the hosts and the space. Best night of sleep of our 8 days in lovely Iceland.

Heimilisleg og mjög notaleg íbúð á neðri hæð. Mun klárlega koma hingað aftur í næstu Austfjarða ferð.

Cosy and warm apartment. Will definitely be coming back next time I am on Austfirðir.

Positive: comfortable beds, hot chocolate, coffee and tea to use, big bathroom, comfortable bedsheets, clean towels

Negative: only see through curtains, no TV, very little power on the water in the shower, couldn't lock properly, wery small apartment and wery small kitchen table

We stayed here for 2 nights. Our host was a woman who didn´t speak English but was very kind and let us wash our clothes. The appartment is nice and has everything you need. It´s an average place to stay for some nights.

Petit appartement au sous sol de la maison des propriétaires. Il y a tout ce qu'il faut pour se faire à manger. Déco un peu vieillotte mais l'appart est bien équipé et bien chauffé.

Loved our overnight stay in this ground floor apartment. It was clean, spacious and close to the Lake. We were met by the lovely host Elin. Communication was good and is as described in the listing. It is not too far from Egilsstaðir and very close to Hengisfoss waterfall.
We would definitely stay again should we return to Iceland.

The apartment is the ground floor, the landlords live upstairs. It is situated in a very quiet location that offers great hiking trails to the lake and the mountains. There is a gas station nearby. The apartment is equipped with everything you could possily need. Even homemade raspbery ja m awaited us!
The apartment is very clean. The furnishing is a bit oldfashioned, but absoluteky sufficient and in order.

Our family enjoy staying at Elin?s so much! The place was spacious and it was very comfortable. We all had a good rest at hers. The shower was nice, the bed was nice. We were even able to have a quick wash of our stinky clothes.
LOVE LOVE LOVE the place and highly recommend to everyone!

We were 4 people. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to stay there. The surronding was very nice. For one night it was perfect and easy to find. For a longer stay the kitchen table at one point would have been to narrow to eat all together a real whole meal.
