This quiet and spacious cabin has spectacular views over surrounding areas, Þingvallavatn lake and mountains. Perfect setting for the Northern Lights during the winter months. Spectacular water and mountain views combined and design make this villa the ultimate getaway.

The Cabin is located on the in the Þingvellir National Park area only a few minutes from the lake and around 45 minute drive from Reykjavík. The location is ideal to explore the south coast and do day tours throughout the area including the Golden Circle, Kerið, Flúðir, Þingvellir, Black Sand Beach and Seljalandsfoss.

The Villa is accommodates 9 people in 4 bedrooms and has 2 full bathrooms. Highest quality beds and plenty of closet space. Everything within the Cabin is top of the line from home appliance to tiles and wooden panels.

Kitchen ? Top of the line interior design, European wood cabinetry, professional series kitchen appliances. Includes dishwasher, coffee machine, toaster oven, electric kettle, microwave and all the cookware necessary to make a gourmet meal.

Bedrooms - Highest quality king and queen size beds along with plenty of closet space.

Bathroom - Italian tiles, exceptional lighting, whole stone sinks and walk in showers.

Laundry room - Top of the line clothes washer and dryer

Patio - Huge patio with a outdoor shower and a jacuzzi, sauna, exceptional views of the sunset and Northern Lights.

The villa comes with free wifi.

A small grocery store and restaurant can be found in Þrastalundur about 10-15 minutes from the Villa and the town of Selfoss is 25 minutes away.

Við vorum 4 hjón dagana 26-29 júli .Bústaður mjög fín og gott pláss fyrir allan.En grillið var svo skitugt að það var ódothæft .Miglað grill .við hefðum viljað að þjónustu aðilin hefð gert enhvað i því og komið með annað grill eða lagð ónothæft grill .Engi viðbrögð voru við því svo ekkert var grillað :)

Wonderful house, has everything you need for a stay of a few days. Location is ok for daytrips one West and South Iceland.
Heating was set rather low, couldn?t find how to change that. We didn?t really use the hot tub because the cover was very heavy and it was difficult to use.

We had a very nice first impression. Very modern home with absolutely stunning views of the national park.
Unfortunately there were a few things that we would consider basic that were missing. For example we only got one towel each, then there was no hairdryer, no tea spoons and no additional kitchen towel. For a lodge that describes itself as luxurious this was not what we expected. In addition to that we were rather disappointed that there was only wood to heat the sauna once, although we were staying there for several days. All in all the price/performance combination when travelling in a group of four was not satisfying.

Ég var nokkuð ánægð með dvölina. Húsið var alveg uppá 10. Við vorum óheppin að lenda í því að potturinn var ekki í lagi en það voru sendir viðgerðarmenn á föstudaginn langa sem löguðu pottinn en við komumst ekki í hann fyrr en á laugardeginum (3 dögum eftir komu) Sjónvarpsmálin mættu laga ásamt netsambandi. Við vorum líka óheppin að lenda í því að geta ekki hringt sjálf í hliðið (þurftum að hringja í hvert skipti í tengilið okkar við húsið alla páska) Einnig fannst okkur eins og það væri ekki von á okkur í húsið þar sem skápanrnir í eldhúsinu voru fullið af mat/vörum sem við urðum að taka frá og setja aftur á sinn stað við brottför.
Einnig mætti benda á að það væri gott að hafa útiljós. Það var mjög dimmt að labba yfir í gestahús seint að kvöldi. Einnig fundum við ekki ruslagám þegar við fórum og þurftum að taka allt sorp með okkur heim.
Þetta eru ekki stór vandamál :-) og ég tek það fram að það fór vel um okkur og við nutum dvalarinnar.

The Reindeer Lodge was perfect for our group of 3 couples. The home is spacious and comfortable, the setting is beautiful and serene, and the location is perfect for exploring the Golden Circle and the south coast. FYI, there aren?t many restaurants nearby, but the kitchen is great for groups who like to cook (like we do). We stopped at Costco to stock up on groceries when we first landed, and cooked breakfasts and dinner in, and ate lunch out. It was a perfect vacation in Iceland!
