Svartagil 4 B

Description

A cozy little old cottage about one and half hours drive from Reykjavik, close to the river Nordura. The view is magnificient. Svartagil is about 3 km from the main road nr. 1, very close to Bifrost, Hredavatnsskali, Grabrok and Glanni.

It is 45 square meters, has two bedrooms both with double bed. There is a bathroom with a shower, a fully equipped kitchen and living room. There is a hot tub.

The area is ideal for relaxation, hiking or other leisure activities.
Very close is Grabrok, an old volcano with a path to the top and very nice view from there and the beautiful waterfall Glanni.
Golf close to Bifrost or in Borgarnes, swimming pool at Varmaland and in Borgarnes, some restaurants in the neighborhood - one of them selling local food (Hraunsnef sveitahotel), horse renting and hiking. The nearest town Borgarnes is about 30 minute drive, with all the service needed f.ej. you will find excellent grocery stores and a awesome bakery (Papa Jone´s from the move The Secret Life of Walter Mitty), the farmer's market Ljómalind, nice restaurants, interesting museums and shows.

Some interesting places around are f.ej.:
Hraunsnef sveitahotel, Erpsstadir, Hredavatn, Grabrok, Eiriksstadir, Glanni.

For longer day trips, it is only roughly a two hours drive to the glacier in Snæfellsnes, Geysir ,Gullfoss, and Thingvellir, Iceland´s most popular tourist sites.

Pets or parties are not allowed in the cottage.
