Description

Syðri-Hagi offers accomodation in an all year around cottage in Árskogsströnd. The cottage is 25 square meters.
The cottage has one bedroom with two beds (2 beds*90 cm. Possible to push the beds toghether as a double bed). Also there is a sleepingcouch for two in the livingroom.
In the kitchen there is a refridgerator with a small freezer, stove, owen with microwave function. Facilities for four persons. There is also a TV in the cottage. On the terrace there is a hot tub and a gas grill. Wifi is in the house.
Free fishing from the beach.
No smoking
Pets not allowed

The cottage is in a peaceful place on the land of farm Syðri-Hagi with lovely ocean views. Located on the western shore of Eyjafjörður in north Iceland.
You can explore the majestic mountain ranges and welcoming valleys, either by car or on foot. In wintertime Aurora lights can frequently be seen from the cottage on clear and crisp nights. There are also many good skiing areas within easy reach.

Hiking: In the small forest on the hills above the cottage, Kötlufjall (the mountain above), in Þorvaldsdalur and Svarfaðardalur (Valleys nearby)

Distances: Akureyri 28 km, Dalvík 15 km. Ólafsfjörður 32 km. Siglufjörður 49 km. Þelamörk 19 km. Hrafnagil 41 km. Grenivik 66 km, Hauganes 6 km, Árskógssandur 7 km, Hrísey 7 km + 15 minutes with ferry, Mývatn 133 km.

Stores and services: Dalvík, Akureyri, Ólafsfjörður og Siglufjörður.
Whalewatching and sea angling: Whale watching Hauganes and Arctic sea tours Dalvik.
Beer spa Árskógssandur (7 km)
Folk museum: Dalvík, og Akureyri.
Herring museum: Siglufjörður
Folk music centre: Siglufjörður
Swimmingpools: Dalvík, Þelamörk, Hrafnagil, Hrísey, Akureyri, Ólafsfjörður, Siglufjörður.
Riding tours: Tvistur in Dalvík, Polarhestar near Grenivik.
Golf courses: Akureyri, Ólafsfjörður and in Svarfaðardalur.
Skiing: Akureyri, Dalvík, Ólafsfjörður and Siglufjörður.

Fish festival in Dalvik, and Handcraft festival in Hrafnagil, both the second weekend in August.

Very cute bungalo with all you need. Great hot tub.
We had a agreable stay in the snow! And with great northern lights!
The view over the fjord from the bungalo is hidden by a small hill, this was our only déception.

We spent a wonderful week in the house. It is perfect equipped and the location cannot be any better. Absolutely quiet and in the midst of nature. We enjoyed especially the hot tube every night after hiking and we were so lucky that we saw northern lights sitting in the hot tube.

We stayed there for one week. It was the perfect house! Very clean and everything you need was there. The hot pot is a highlight, we used it every day. The location is very nice, you can easily walk to the sea. I highly recommend this cottage! We had a great time.

Hlýlegt hús klætt með bjálka í hólf í gólf. Ekta sumarbústaður með öllu tilheyrandi. Mjög ánægður með dvölina og mjög vinalegir gestgjafar. Mæli eindregið með. Mjög stutt að heimsækja alla helstu áfangastaði á Eyjafjarðarsvæðinu. Tilvalið fyrir par eða fjölskyldu með börn. Allt stóðst sem lofað var.

If you look for outside remote quiet place to relax it will be just perfect!

A lovely warm and cosy lodge in a quiet location away from the main road. Host was friendly and helpful, clearing the snow so we could get in and out. Watching the northern lights from the hot tub was an amazing experience. We had a very relaxing week here.

We had a wonderful time in Solsetur. Perfect location for wildlife. Cosy and warm, with comfortable beds and good shower. Amazing views of the surrounding mountains.

Perfect cottage on a gorgeous property! The owners were very kind and hospitable, including picking up our laundry when we needed it done. Cottage came with a well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and just enough space for two people to stay comfortably. 20-25min from hiking and skiing, as well as two nearby towns. Highly recommend!

Stayed 2 days. Great cottage, well equipped, there is even hot tube at the terrace and gas grill. It is with view on mountains. Up to 20 minutes to Akureyri. Cottage is in the middle of meadow, so if you like to be alone in the nature it is great choose. We were family with one girl an we loved it.

It was the greatest cottage we stayed in Iceland. To see the fjord and mountains during the evening sun while having a relaxing bath in the hot tube was just magical. The cottage was vere well placed, new and had everything you need to have an amazing stay.
