Excellent location.
A small cottage for 4 people, with all modern facilities in a quiet environment.
The cottage is situated at the cross roads between Akureyri, Reykjavik and Siglufjordur, about 5km from the shops and swimming pool in Varmahlid. Also nearby are historical places to visit, such as Örlygsstaðir, Flugumýri, Miklibær and Hólar í Hjaltadal. It is possible to ski in the nearby mountain Tindastóll, which is within a 35 minutes drive away, during wintertime.

Lovely spot with fantastic view. Great place to stay. There was furniture for outside, which we could use due to the nice weather. Very nice! It is said that there is WIFI, but we did not succeed in using it.

Very pleasant experience, esp watching the sunset here! Not a super spacious cottage, but got every essential stuffs there. Plus, it's super comfy! Highly recommended!

Waking up in the cottage protected from the intense winds was a very cozy experience. Finding the property was a bit difficult, but we felt like we were in a home away from home in this comfortable cottage. The beautiful views were unbeatable and the privacy was so lovely. Thanks for sharing this home with us!

Chalet très agréable, bien équipé dans un cadre magnifique. L'adresse est par contre très imprécise et les coordonnées gps n'y mènent pas exactement.

An amazing little treasure with stunning views surrounded by horses and sheep. We received a very warm welcome and everything was present in the cottage. There was also a beautiful dog that came to play with us. I really hope we can go back some day.

There were four of us staying here and we were very comfortable. This place is in a beautiful setting. The hosts were also wonderful. It was very hard to leave here, but we hope to return someday.

Nice small cottage in a good location (perfect if you are driving the Ring Road). We were a little surprised that we had to put the linens on the beds ourselves and we were only provided one towel for a family of 4. But, the kitchen had everything you needed and they had a nice friendly dog too.

The place was very nice and cozy. However, the wifi did not work. The host also did not appear to live nearby so we could not ask him for help. Note that to get to this cottage, you need to first get to another cottage nearby, then drive in (a bit hard to explain - search Syðsta Grund on google maps). But still, lovely experience.

Huggulegt lítið hús og vel búið fyrir eina nótt, blóm á verönd og lömb á túni. Skýra mætti leiðbeiningar um hvar á að leggja bílum og hvoru megin gert er ráð fyrir að gestir komi að húsinu. Eitt lakið var of stutt á rúmin, annars allt spikk og span. Kærar þakkir fyrir okkur.

It was a great experience staying in a little cottage like this. Tools are very complete. The only down site is the wifi signal is not strong but you do not need a connection when you are in the middle of heaven.

The cottage is comfortable with everything you need. When we arrived, though, we needed to clean and it was a little difficult to get the keys.
