Description

Surrounded by nature, these countryside cottage offer views over the Lagarfljot River. It has a fully equipped kitchen and furnished terrace with a BBQ. Egilsstadir town centre is 30 km away.

A living room with a TV and DVD player is provided in all Ekra Cottages, as well as 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and he other with a double bed and upper bunk. Bathroom with a shower.

Free fishing licences are available at Ekra and can be used at Lake Krokavatn, 20 minutes walk away. A farmhouse is located on site, along with hiking trails in the vicinity.

Icelands Ring Road is less than 20 minutes drive from the cottages, while the villages of Eidar and Fellabær are about 30 km away.

Wonderful location in the middle of nowhere. But easy to reach by car, a good place to start trips into the area. The cottage is equipped with all you need. We only missed the internet connection for proper planning. The nearby lake is lovely but cold, worth a short refreshing bath. Despite the cancellation fee is too high, we can fully recommend Kristjana's place. Thanks for the tour tips.

Sehr nettes Holzhaus fernab von allem. Zwei Schlafzimmer, eines mit Doppelbett und das andere mit Etagenbett für 2 unten und 1 Person oben. Dusche/WC. Hauptraum mit Küche, Essecke und Sitzecke. Die Küche enthielt Herd, Backofen, Kühlschrank, Kaffeemaschine, Toaster, Wasserkocher, Mikrowelle. Auf der Terrasse stand ein Gasgrill, den wir aber nicht genutzt haben. Kein WLAN.

Die Vermieter im Bauernhof in ein paar Hundert Metern Entfernung waren sehr freundlich.

Wir haben uns bei unserem dreitägigen Aufenthalt in diesem Haus sehr wohl gefühlt. Allerdings sollte man wissen, dass der Ort wirklich etwas abgelegen ist. Die nächsten Geschäfte und Restaurants sind in Egilsstaðir in etwa 30 km Entfernung, größtenteils über Schotterpiste. Bakkagerði ist noch etwas weiter entfernt. Für uns war der Standort aber ganz passend, da wir beide Orte besuchen wollten und ein Haus dazwischen daher gut passte.
