Whether admiring Northern Lights from the hot tub in winter or sipping wine on the patio in summer, our cozy wooden cabin is the perfect getaway for your stay in Iceland.

The cabin is located in a beautiful and quiet surroundings with many opportunities for great hikes and other nature experiences all year round, not far from Reykjavík and only ten minutes drive from the town of Borgarnes. There you can find all essentials, visit museums and shops and indulge at our favorite café, Kaffi Kyrrð.

The atmosphere and feel of the house is calming and fascinating with nature and great destinations around. If you are looking for a great place to stay in Iceland we would love to accommodate you and should you have requests or would like further information you should not hesitate to contact us.

Our cabin is a cozy and homely 46 square meter wooden house that has two small bedrooms - each with a double bed, one bathroom and a bright, open space with kitchen area, living room with a large, comfy sofa-bed and a dining table. It has a large and beautiful patio with outside furnitures and a modern hot tub that comfortably fits four people.

The cabin has all necessary appliances such as a medium size fridge with a little freezer, stoves, microwave, coffee machines, charcoal grill, a bluetooth speaker and TV. The Wifi is free and works very well.

The cabin is perfect for couples, very suitable for four people and fits six.
We hope you'll come to love it as much as we do!

Lovely stay at Bard Cottage. Very warm and cozy despite being -10 and very windy outside. Everything you need for an enjoyable stay, with the owners (Bjarney and Manuel) providing excellent friendly service and communication throughout. Is ideal for a quiet, away from the city break in beautiful Iceland.

Bjarney was a very responsive and welcoming host. The property was in an ideal (for us) and beautiful location, with spectacular surroundings. The bungalow was clean, well-equipped, and very quiet. This was a great Icelandic cottage experience. Thank you!

Æðislegur bústaður, kósí og næs. Þó hann sé staðsettur við rætur Hafnarfjalls og það hafi verið brjálað rok þegar við vorum þarna, þá var logn á pallinum.. Takk kærlega fyrir okkur..

We had a great stay with our two small children. Easy to find just off Ring Road 1 and very close to Borgarnes. The hot tub was amazing and the cottage warm and well equipped. Recommend staying here.
