Description

Cottages at Thingvellir in Miðfell country. The house is only 50 km from Reykjavík and it is located in close proximity to the national park. The house has 2 rooms one with double bed and the other bed is 120 in width, also there is a sofa in the living room that can be converted into beds for two. The living room and kitchen in one open space, and a small bathroom with a shower. The cabin is not big but very
comfortable and cozy with all that is needed .The cabin is well located and short from the golden circle. Much can be seen nearby places like National Park Thingvellir, Gullfoss, Geysir, and many more interesting places.

(You can fish in the lake and it is a short walk from the house.)

Lovely cabin, in a beautiful area. Very convenient for many of the attractions of the Golden Circle. Well equipped, and very comfortable, although the plumbing noises were a bit puzzling at times (short lived so not a problem). The bird life around the cabin was a delight. It might be a bit isolated for a some tastes, but for a us that was part of its attraction. Please note that bungalo.com website has the wrong coordinates. The correct ones are 64.1625417, -21.0496278 near a little mountain called Midfell, and near the Eastern shore of lake Thingvallavatn.

We liked our stay in this cottage very much! Nice location for exploring the Golden circle and really comfortable beds!

We stayed in this cottage for 3 days in august and loved it. It´s not big but quite nice for a small family. It was clean and had everything we needed for our family vacation. We will defenately stay there again if possible.

Ótrúlega kósý og heimilislegur bústaður í frábæru umhverfi. Mæli hiklaust með þessum. Eigandi fær svo plús í kladdan fyrir að svara öllum fyrirspurnum fljótt og vel. Takk fyrir okkur.

It is a nice cottage, very well situated at the Pingvellir lake - not fare to Pingvellir National Park, Reykjavik and Reikjanes, Geysir, Gullfoss, Hekla, Hveragerdi (Hengil thermal Area), Borgarfjord and Hraunfossar. Big Terracce, full equiped kitchen, nice living room with lake view, one nice sleeping room.Good communication with the owners.
The critical points - the second sleeping room is very small, without door and window - open to the living room.
I mean what guests have to know too - they live in the private equipment of the owners.

The cottage is in a nice location with easy access to golden circle.
The nature around the area is stunning. We did a lot of travelling around and found Iceland to be majestically beautiful!
We found one of the double bedrooms was too small and only fit for one person, not two. In my opinion the cottage is only suitable for three people. My husband had to sleep on the couch for the five days we were there.

This is the cutest little cottage we ever stayed in- it is called Graceland so we were playing a game of "looking for Elvis" as the house is full of details:) The owner is super nice and helpful- it was a perfect weekend- we highly recommend it!:)

We had very nice 8 days in this cottage. Cottage was very easy to find thanks to the owners letter and the view from the living room window was absolutely beautiful! Location was also very good if you mainly want to see the main tourist attractions (geysirs, gullfoss, thingvellir..).

We had few problems along our stay considerign the electricity and water pressure. It was eastern time so it was very difficult to arrange someone to fix the problems but everything was fixed in 48 hours!

Lovely cottage very cosy and the hot tub is great! Great location and lovely views. The owners are very helpful and friendly people. Highly recommend.
