Beautiful cabin located on large private property. Family friendly space, with crib, play pen, two high chairs and changing table.

You won't be bored in this home as you will find puzzles, board games, gaming consoles(Nintendo Wii U, PS4), books, children's toys, a JBL Speaker and great Wi-Fi. If you decide you would like some movement in your day you will find an exercise bike, free weights and yoga mats to get moving! After your training you can enjoy a dip in the hot tub which is located inside a glass igloo on top of a unique octagonal sunroom, giving you a 360 degree view of the beautiful Icelandic nature!

If you're heart belongs in the kitchen, you'll have everything you'll need right at your fingertips. Enjoy cooking on an induction stovetop, at the grill on the patio, or slow cook a meal in the Instant Pot. Top of the line kettle and Nespresso machine so you can enjoy your morning cuppa tea or joe! Tableware includes beautiful crystal glasses, and gorgeous stoneware to give you the full cabin feel, as well as more practical glasses if you will be venturing outside or to the hot tub.

This home is located just a five minute drive to the town of Fludir, were you will find many shops. There are many things to see and do in the area including natural hot springs just a 13 min walk or 4 min drive away! Suggestions for eating and sightseeing will be available on arrival.

The stay was very good, the house was spacious and in perfect condition and the host made sure everything was in order.
It is a cozy and comfortable house and highly recommended.

We really enjoyed our stay. Kids thought the house was so cool! Well stocked to cook meals in.

Centrally located to hit the best spots in the golden circle and the south coast and not too far from the city either.

This is a spacious, country-style cabin that had plenty of room for our group of 7 people (two families including 3 teens and 4 adults). The pictures do not do the house justice; the house has beautiful views from every window, large windows and sliding doors downstairs and upstairs, and a small sitting area upstairs in addition to the living room area downstairs. The decor is very country (more overstuffed chairs and wood paneling than the sleek Scandinavian/modern design that's more typical in Iceland) but it works and it doesn't feel stuffy or dated at all. The kitchen is spacious and well-stocked (including a Nespresso machine with plenty of pods, which was much appreciated). We liked having two full bathrooms with showers. The showers are small by American standards but the small size is not uncommon in Europe. In all, we had a wonderful few days at this house, with no major problems at all.

There only two very minor frustrations: the combination washing machine/dryer was very difficult to figure out with all its cryptic symbols. A manual or guide to these runic markings would have been useful. Also, it was a bit hard to figure out how to reach the property, as the Google maps link to the address takes you to the nearest location on road 30, but there is no obvious way to get to the house from that spot. To reach the house, turn from road 30 onto road 344 towards Hruni, then take one of the first dirt tracks on the right (at the sign for Viking Villas). Continue following the road until the next sign for Viking Villas and turn right. You will see the house a little way down on the right.
