Welcome to Höfði Cottages! We offer a nice and cosy summerhouse in a stunning location in Dalvik, surrounded by the Svarfadardalur Nature Reserve, a sanctuary for bird watching!

Litli Cottage is 10sqm big and fits 2 people perfectly. It has a well equipped kitchen, a comfortable sofa bed and a private bathroom. Outside there is a nice terrace with a BBQ, table and chairs. The shower is available in the sauna cottage, just a few steps away from Litli. Free Wi-Fi and TV.

House Rules: We expect our guests to take good care of our cottage, and leave it in the same conditions as they found it, nice and clean. Please make sure that glasses, dishes and cutlery have been washed, dried and arranged before your departure, and leave the towels in the bathroom basket. Smoking is forbidden in the house, party are NOT allowed! No music or noise outside on the terrace after 22:00.

The cottage is a 5 minutes drive from the local skiing area and 15 walking minutes from the Dalvik town center. Activities available close by: hiking, horse trips, skiing, whale watching, bird watching, swimming pool, golf. Pick-up in Akureyri can be arranged for a reasonable price.

Several walking trails start from this area, and a lot of them are connected to the bird watching activity in the Nature Reserve. This is the place where whale watching excursions start. Enjoy the northern lights in winter or the midnight sun in summer... you'll never forget it!!

The Litli is surprisingly small, it is only in half of the small red house. One person might feel good there but when there are two as we where, its crowded. We where lucky as the weather was good so we could use the veranda, witch is twice the size of the house. The view up the valley is nice. Its not a quiet lodging , as the Jacuzzi of the next bungalow is just few meters away so if there is a rock loving family there with children you can forget about a quiet day in the country, and the main road is only 70 meters away. This very small bungalow should be priced at half of what is priced at now. P.s. The TV was out of order.

Dear guests, just a few corrections regarding your bad review: The TV was and is perfectly working, all basic icelandic cable channels are available, but no pay per view. Litli is our smallest cottage in the property, therefore cannot be compared to the other big ones we rent out to our guests. However all pictures and descriptions are very clear on the advertisement online and we provided you exactly what you made the reservation for: a small but cute, clean and quiet cottage in the middle of the Nature Reserve, with linen & towels included in the price. Moreover, even if it was in our full right not to do so, we agreed to give you a big refund that covered almost the entire lenght of your stay. Here just a little advice: For future reservation we deeply suggest you to better check in advance what you are making the reservation for, you can even contact the hosts of the accommodation for free sending a message in case of any doubts: this will save you from unjustified disappointment later and more important from leaving bad reviews all around the place. A cosy little place and, although the hot tub was not operational the sauna was great.
