Description

A lovely old holiday house in south Iceland. This is a traditional Icelandic country home and was built in 1900. Old furniture and paintings mixed with free wifi makes this the ideal spot for the modern traveller looking for something different. Horseback riding on Icelandic horses is available for guests.

The house is located near Landvegamót, close to Hella. Approximately 160 square meters in size, it sleeps up to 6 people.

The house has 3 bedrooms, a fully functional kitchen, a bathroom with a bathtub and shower and a library.

The house is situated at the center of the southern shore of Iceland. The golden circle with Thingvellir, Gullfoss and Geysir is nearby. So is Seljalandsfoss. Þórsmörk, Skógar, Landmannalaugar, Dyrhólaey and Reynisfjara.

If you want to take a little longer drive, the Vatnajökull national park with Skaftafell and the Glacial Lagoon is within range for a day trip.

Excellent choice as a base for traveler wishing to enjoy the Iceland Nature

The old house of Iceland?s family with specific taste and history. It is good to have big cottage with 3 small bedrooms instead of 3 wet tents. You will have all necessities here plus museum feelings and interesting exhibits. There was even some free food and bath items. It is situated quite close to the main roads and attractions. The host is supportive and very friendly.

The house was in a lovely location, not far off the main road, surrounded by horse farms. Quiet and peaceful. Good location for sight seeing in the south of Iceland.

This was a quaint and spacious house with plenty of cooking equipment. Instructions for hot water and heating were not given and there were no suitable facilities for drying clothes. Nonetheless, we enjoyed staying in this beautiful, peaceful location and found it to be a good base for day trips to exciting places.

Very true, quiet and old family house just close to Hekla and Landmannalaugar ! There was everything we need and it was a nice stay for us !
