Description

Small and cosy cabin 35m2, located near Grenivík in Eyjafjordur. There are 2 bedrooms that can accommodate 4 persons. In the other bedroom are 2 quality single beds put as a double bed. The other bedroom has a bunk bed for 2. In the living room there is a sofa and a small kitchenette. There are basic cooking facilities with a small oven and a hob, also there is a microwave and a small fridge.
Small bathroom is in the cabin with a shower.

The cabin is located just outside of Grenivík, 5 minute drive. Then there is a 30 min drive to Akureyri and 50 min drive to Húsavík. At Grenivík there is a swimming pool and a hot tub, then there is as well a grocery store.

Directions
Grýtubakki 3 is situated in outer Eyjafjörður. Around 30 km from Akureyri. From Leirunesti at Akureyri is around 25 minute drive to the house.
If people come from Reykjavik then they have to drive through Akureyri and to the other end of the town. Then people drive like they are going to Húsavík. Turn left when you get to Leirunesti before you leave Akureyri. Then you have to drive for around 10 til 15 minutes. Until reached a side road with the name Grenivík to the left. Then you turn left and go through the old town in Laufás until you pass a bridge, you turn left and drive for few minutes. You will start to see to the right Hléskógar, Pólarhestar, Grýtubakki 1 and then Grýtubakki 3 which is a yellow house to the right.

*It is possible to rent linen and towels. Linen cost 1.500 isk kr and a towel cost 500 isk kr.

Nice cute cottage near by Akureyri. It is a beautiful place with even more beautiful way from/to Akureyri. With all equipment you need.
We really enjoyed our stay, and I recommend it.

Very comfortable, owner was very welcoming and gave us information about the area, good location, nice hike up Kaldbaur mountain. Private and quiet.

Small cute cottage in a small village near by Akureyri. It is a beautiful place with even more beautiful way from/to Akureyri. All equipment you need. It looks really small, but it is enough for 4 people without a problem.

We really enjoyed our stay, and I recommend it. It is very good solution for a small group people or family who would like to rent a place close to Akureyri and for a good price!

The little bungalow is a very nice place to stay. Newly build, wodden made, and all necessities are inlcuded. It is loacted in wonderful region. It needs only 15-20 minutes to reach Akureiry (if you need a city). If you want to leave into spectucular nature, you are within 1.5 hr on the top of Tjörnes or at Myvatn. Nearby, a spectacular open air museum (Laufas) ect. It is just to recommand. Rgeards K

Very nice cabin, rather small but really cozy and perfectly equipped. Well situated to explore the region. My family felt very comfortable.
Jónína is a great host, quick and friendly to communicate with.

The cottage was nice and easily acessible from Akureyri. There was plenty of room for 4 people and their luggage.

New, clean and very well equipped. Quiet and bright. Excellent stay.
Pleasant region.
5 minutes from the hot baths, 30 minutes from Akureri and 1 hour from Myvatn.

Région agréable.

Great location to explore Myvatn from, and we had a wonderful whale watching excursion from Husavik while here, recommended by the host. Brand new construction and very comfortable accommodation, convenient to Akureyri, and north coast attractions. We had great views of the puffins and humpback whales with Gentle Giants, within 10 feet of a mother and calf, the experience of a lifetime!
