Description

Laugarbakki Guesthouse is at Laugarbakki, located just by Route 1. It is halfway to both Reykjavík and Akureyri. The one-story guesthouse is very spacious at 200 square meters. Sleeping accommodations are available for up to 10 people and it is also possible to request two extra floor mattresses.
There are 4 bedrooms; one for 3 persons, two for 2 persons and one for a single person. All bedrooms have very good beds. A lounge is located next to the common room and has a comfortable sofa bed that can be used by 2 persons.
There are 2 good bathrooms which both have showers while one also has a bathtub. The house also has a well-equipped kitchen, and the common room has good facilities for groups to come together for meals. A large hot tub is located on the patio as well as a sauna in the garden. Guests also have access to a reliable gas grill. There is also a very cozy solarium where guests can relax and recharge their batteries.
The house is very suitable for families as well as smaller groups who want to spend time together in a peaceful environment. Laugarbakki is 10 km away from Hvammstangi where there is a market, swimming pool as well as other services. The location of the guesthouse offers many opportunities to see the northern lights due to the calm and quiet surroundings. There will also be opportunities to observe seals in their natural environment. Local natural wonders close to the guesthouse include Hvítserkur, Borgarvirki and Kolugljúfur. It is easy to escape into peace and serenity regardless of whether you are traveling alone or with a group.

Amazing house, with everything you need and more! Coffee, tea and even the ingredients for making waffles in the morning were available. The hot tub was already prepared for us, when we arrived. We had the most beautiful experience, watching the northern lights from the hot tub. It was perfect!
