Description

The home was build in 2014, and is located in Floahreppur, which is like the gateway to all main
attractions in South Iceland. It is located off, state-road 30,-just 2,3 km north off Interstate 1, on
a peaceful gated private land, the home is also close to the Golden Circle, and many other attractions.
The home has three bedrooms, all with double beds and the beds have highest quality of mattresses and ready made eiderdown duvets. The bathroom has a shower and high standard bathtowels-handtowels-washcloths for 6 people and a hairdryer.

The home has a TV, satelite Tv,DVD,CD,radio and internet access.
The dining table can seat 6 people, and it is open to the kitchen which makes all servings very easy.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a large American fridge( fridge/freezer/icemaker/running water)
dishwasher, full size stove, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, big toaster, blender, dishes, glasses, pots/pans utensils,silverware etc. Please let us know if you would need a baby high chair and/or pack ´n´play (babybed)It is complimentary.
In the hallway is a washer and dryer, all in the same unit so you can go home with a suitcase full of clean clothes. There you can also find iron and ironing board.
The patio has a big Stainless steal BBQ, and outdoor furnitures. After a long day out just to sit back and relax with a glass of wine on the patio and enjoy the view. The highlight is of course, your beautiful scenery with a spectacular view. During the winter time watching the Aurora Borealis- is just breathtaking.

Well taken care of cottage and all round nice place to stay at. Couldn't talk well enough about the owners who went above and beyond when we had some car troubles.

We had a great time in Iceland, made all the more easier because of where we stayed. The cottage was lovely and clean. We were traveling with a 74 year old and a 7 year old and the place was perfect. A great base to explore the south west of Iceland. We were met by Rósa on arrival who was very friendly and helpful. She was able to provide lots of tips and advice. She gave us lots of privacy but was there if we needed her. We would recommend the place to anyone.

This place was exactly what we were looking for. Remote but close to all kinds of things. Rosa takes great care and provides some of the things that are easy to forget like coffee, sweetener and especially a freezer full of ice with frosted mugs! This place has any hotel beat!

Absolutely ideal cottage for our family of 5!! Never in all of our travels around the world have we had such a lovely experience with a cottage rental. Besides the excellent cottage itself (see details below), the hospitality of the owner is unparalleled. She was the most wonderful, gracious host we have ever encountered. Not only did she provide us with everything we needed for the cottage, but she also took the time to offer us fantastic tips on great things to do in the area (all of which were excellent advice), and even brought us delicious homemade Icelandic treats to enjoy (which we relished)!
On the cottage itself: Location: Perfect for exploring the south of Iceland, Golden Circle, Reykjavik, Hveragerdi, etc. Cottage: Beautiful, clean, comfortable, bright, carefully decorated, spacious. The beds are very comfortable and the bathroom has a great shower. Hands down the most well-stocked kitchen we have ever encountered, with not only the necessary utensils, pots and pans, etc., but spices, oil, flour and other basic cooking needs as well as extras like tea, hot chocolate, a other delicious sundries one does not normally encounter in a rental.
Excellent, excellent cottage and we highly recommend this to anyone looking for a perfect Icelandic experience!!!

Algjörlega frábær bústaður, rúmgóður og með allt til alls (nema heitan pott en það kom ekki að sök). Allt hreint og snyrtilegt og Rósa, gestgjafinn augljóslega einstök manneskja. Takk fyrir okkur- við komum örugglega aftur :)

Takk æðislega fyrir ykkar hlýju orð. Þið voruð líka yndislegar, og æðislegt að hafa ykkur. Því miður get ég ekki boðið uppá heitan pott, þar sem þetta er kalt svæði - höfum ekkert heitt vatn. Við hitum upp allt kalt vatn í þar til gerðum hitakútum. Heilbrigðiseftirlitið gerir þær kröfur að gestir eiga að koma að tómum hreinum pottum og láta renna sjálfir heitt vatn í. Að hita upp kalt vatn í heitum potti væri sennilega ekki orðið heitt fyrr en um það leiti sem þið væruð að fara. En við höldum í vonina um að fá heitt vatn frá yfirvöldum. Þá lofa ég þér að þá kemur heitur pottur. Hlakka til að sjá ykkur sem fyrst aftur, yndislegu fallegu konur.

We lived in the house for 1 week. We liked everything: the kitchen is equipped with the latest technology, comfortable bedrooms, a large area. The location of the house is very good, easy access to the most famous sights. We want to Express our gratitude to the Rosa, the owner of the house. She is very hospitable people. Rosa knew that we were going from afar and even bought food for us. After resting in the house of the Rosa we wanted once again to visit Iceland.
