Laxárbakki is situated on the banks of the Laxa river in Hvalfjord. Only an hour drive from Reykjavik, Laxárbakki offers a professional accommodation close to some of Iceland's most interesting sights.

Laxárbakki is close to Snæfellsnes which hosts Snæfellsjökull glacier, the setting for one of Jules Verne's most famous books, "The journey to the center of the earth".
