Description

Brand new skiing cabin located 5 minutes from downtown Akureyri and 5 minutes from the slopes of Hlidarfjall mountain. The house can sleep up to 8 people with beds and sheets for everyone. There are 3 bedrooms all equipped with twin beds that can slide together. One of the rooms has bunk beds as well so it sleeps 4. You are also allowed to bring extra mattresses.

There is a large spacious living room area with a flat screen tv, dvd player, and a fully equipped kitchen including dish washer. From the living room area you can expect a great view of Akureyri as the cabin is located few hundred meters above the town.

The cabin has two bathrooms, one equipped with shower and one equipped with washer and a dryer. Outside you have access to a locked storage space great for storing your skiing gear.

Most of the winter season it will be possible to ski down the slopes to Hálönd where you can jump into the hot tub and relax. Hálönd is popular all year around. You can go hiking, horseriding, cycling and motorcycling in the nearby area as well as skiing.

As it is situated just 5 minutes from downtown Akureyri you can find all range of shops, supermarkets, restaurants and attractions just minutes away.

Akureyri is situated only 5 km. from Hálönd and is the center of culture, education and leisure activities in North Iceland. With a population of about 19000, the town is by far the largest outside the Reykjavík capital area.

Our cabin was built in the summer of 2013 and everything is brand new and luxurious. It is located at the top location of the resort with the best views as it has no other houses blocking the view. You can expect to enjoy amazing view of Akureyri at night and even the northern lights.
