Álfasteinn

Description

Álfasteinn (Efstone) is a newly built cabin that was ready in the summer of 2019. It is built on a private land and is standing in front of Kirkjufell mountain. It is 83 fm and has also big sleeping area on the second floor. There are beds for eight people.
Álfasteinn has two bedrooms and in both of them are 1.60 cm beds. On the second floor we have 2 beds that are 90cm and one bed 80cm. All the mattresses are high quality and excellent bedding is included. In the living room we have sleeping sofa that two people can sleep in.

All windows have dark shades.

The bathroom includes a shower and good towels are provided. You can find a hair dryer in the bathroom.
In the living room we have television with a internet connection. There are lots of channels included and guests can listen to the radio through the tv. We also hae a bluetooth speaker in the cabin. The wi fi connestion is excellent in the cabin.
In the kitchen area we do have a big kitchen table that can be made larger. The living room and kitschen area is open so it it really comfortable to work there while making dinner and serve it. In the kitchen you can find fridge, dish washer, stove with oven, mikrowave, coffee machine that makes normal coffee, kettle, toaster, electric hand mixer and everything else that you need to make a perfect dinner.
Please let us know if you need a baby bed or a baby chair, it is included in the prize.
In the bathroom we have a washing machine and a dryer...so dirty clothes are not a problem.
You can find extra pillows and lots of cosy blankets in the cabin.

On the veranda there is a barbaque and outdoor furnitures.

Álfasteinn is built on a private land so there is total privacy. There is big land around the cabin that guests can enjoy and go out and play with theyre kids. The ocean is on one side and gate over the fence so you can enjoy the ocean. The birdlife is amazing on the territori.

It is perfect to stay in Álfasteinn while exploring the Snæfellsness peninsula. It takes just about twenty minutes to drive to Sæfellnes gletcher. We have lots of nature pearls around the area including Kirkjufell, Kirkjufellsfoss, Djúpalónssandur, Hellnar, Arnarstapi, Saxhóll, Lóndrangar, Rauðafeldsgjá and the Watercave. It takes about two hours to drive to Reykjavík and there are about 4 km to the town Grundarfjörður. In the town you can find four restaurants, including Bjargarsteinn Mathus, a must go restaurant. There are also a few companys that provide entertainment f.e. whale watching, bird watching, sea angeling, horse riding, kayaking and one of them can take you to the top of Snæfellsnes gletcher.

This is a non smoking cabin.

It is not allowed to have a party at Álfasteinn.

Guests can arrive any time after 16.00 and the departure is before 12.00 the day after. Guests are kindly advised that they are requred to clean the cabin before the departure. All guests are required to do "daily " cleaning before they leave. Then it is optional if guests pay final cleaning. See Bungalos regulation about cleaning.

A reservation can be cancelled with 14 days or more prior to the scheduled arrival date and 100% of the full rental price will be repaid.
