Description

The cottage is built from Jatoba wood from Brazil. It has three bedrooms, living room, solarium, kitchen and a Bathroom. There is a wonderful view from the house in every direction. The cottage is equipped with a hot tub and has a big porch all around the house. Only in a 5 minute walking distance is a golf course. The cottage is situated 4 km from the town Flúðir. If people need bed linen (sheets) the price is 2000 ISK per person. Assistance of cleaning the cottage when leaving, the price is 11000 ISK.

The bungalow was amazing, extremely comfortable and with an incredible view. It was not super easy to find, but maybe because we arrived during a snowstorm :-) Friendly neighbours helped us anyways getting our car there. I definitely recommend a stay here!

We stayed here for 2 nights in August. Beautiful house with great views. Nice and quiet also. The hot tub was relaxing once we figured out how to fill it up. Our host was very helpful with that. Recommend a good cold water rinse of the tub before filling it with hot water. The people before us left it kind of dirty. Easy drive to town and centrally located for our site sighting stops.

Very good and comfortable cottage, hot tube outside is what you really need after a long day.
Rate this for a 4 stars, because gas tank for BBQ was empty.

We had a great time here, the views are amazing and Sighvatur was a very helpful host. It's a great base from which to explore or stay in and view the northern lights. We'd recommend it without hesitation and we hope to be back soon. Takk fyrir okkur!

We had a great time at Sighvatur's bungalow and he was really helpful and responsive to our questions via email. The views and scenery are amazing, the kitchen is well equipped and the hottub is a particular highlight. We hope to come back again soon.

Great cabin! Beautiful views and well situated to the golden circle, but the road in is a bit rough (pot holes).

I had a very nice and cozy stay. The house was a bit cluttered with random things in drawers and used food-stuffs in the cabinets, but it was still nice. It does need a proper cleaning and reorganizing. I ran into some trouble with the hot tub, because the instructions were slightly confusing. It all worked out in the end, but there are many things to be improved.

The property and location were great. Unfortunately only two bedrooms were made up - the third bedroom had not, was full of dirty stained quilts and pillows and had no curtains. Despite this, we had a great stay and the owner was very helpful in explaining to me slowly how the hot tub worked.

Comfortable holiday home overall.
We loved the hot tub and the view of the snowy mountains.
Good location, close to the golden circle and a decent shop in Fludir. We bought fresh veg from the farm in Fludir (they were much cheaper and better than from the shop).
The hot tub is brilliant and now has a wooden fence sheltering 2 sides, but not hiding the beautiful view. You can relax in it and enjoy the sunset at the same time.
On the downside, it was not as clean as expected (bedding and dishes, and what was that sock doing on the bed?) and a bit too cluttered.
I would recommend this holiday home.

Nice Bungalow, very helpful owner. We spent 9 days in the house, we loved the hot pot, the bbq, the view and everything. It is fully equipped, tv, laptop, dvd, wifi, kitchen appliances (even a wine cooler!). I would highly recommend!

Very warm and cosy cottage with a stunning view. Rooms on the smaller side (but who spends their time in the rooms with a view like that!) The Hot Tub was really good and easy to operate. The location is perfect - short drive to all of the major places to see in this area.

The cottage was in a lovely location with an exterior setting and appearance that matched the pictures. Inside the cottage included an adequately stocked kitchen and furnishings as present in the pictures.

What we did find a challenge was the presence of a considerable amount of clutter (a variety of old toiletries, food, souvenirs, objects etc). It was never really clear what belonged to the owner and what was there for the occupant's use.

The cottage appeared to have had a basic clean, but there were several aspects that were somewhat questionable including dirty underwear left in the laundry basket, soiled mattresses and pillow cases (though clean sheets were available for use) and dirty windows. The bathroom could also have benefitted from a more extensive clean (not helped by the high level of clutter in this already small space).

We had a wonderful time in Iceland and the cottage is well place for day trips to the east of Reykjavik.

A great place to stay! I stayed here with 3 friends and we truly enjoyed our stay! Location was nice concerning the place around the golder circle and the hot tub was nice.

Very nice bungalow, superb in the finishing. Maybe if they install a decent television service and some WIFI, will guarantee a state of art stay to all visitors.

A real treat. The owners were very gracious and pleasant to work with. The location is picturesque and the house very functional and even more beautiful than the pictures can tell. I would highly recommend this location to anyone and for anytime of the year. The geothermal heat and hot tub made the place quite cozy even in the cold, snowy and windy conditions that we experienced in February.

The Summerhouse is a great place to stay. The rooms are small, but the master bed was firm and slept great. Fantastic view from patio, excellent jacuzzi close to Gullfoss & Geysir and many other sightseeing areas. Wonderful place to stay and would definitely book again for a longer period. I would also recommend the summerhouse to my friends.

Beautiful place. Thank you for sharing. We enjoyed the relaxation away from the city. Hot tubbing under the stars. Adding wifi would add convenience but also distraction; we enjoyed being UNconnected

What a wonderful Summer house, we stayed with our 6 month daughter.
Firstly the photos do not do justice for the view, from the property you get amazing 180 Degrees of the Volcanoes / Mountains. The view is out of this world!
Inside the summer house it?s a good cozy and everything works fine, the kitchen had everything and the bedroom could manage a couple with 3/4 children.
Now the selling point of this property has to be the Hot Tub! ??.. with the view drinking a few beers in the hot tup looking up at the sky -it was amazing! ? if you want to see northern lights this is the place.

There is a village 5 min drive away with a pub, small supermarket couple of restaurants including an Ethiopian restaurant ( which was interesting, if I come back next year I will eat there again but not every night.) there was also a golf course close with food and drinks a short walk away!
There is no Wifi however I was connected to my blackberry on G3.
I cant recommend this property enough!

We loved staying at Alfaheioi. The house was clean and comfortable and the view was beautiful. My only request would be to add wifi please!!!
